OUR STORY

Established in 1971 by Robert Gerrard as commercial repair technicians, GME started as Gerrard Motor Engineers. Very soon they recognised the opportunity in becoming a wholesaler of suspension components, which very soon led to opening branches around the UK in Coventry, Birmingham, Glasgow and Sheffield.

After a short space of time, they adopted their skills and knowledge in engineering and opened a factory in Sheffield and started to manufacture Multi-Leaf springs. This then led to large investments in more machinery both in Coventry and Sheffield, which then made it possible to become designers and manufacturers in Parabolic technology.

GME Springs are now one of the largest UK manufacturers of Parabolic & Multi-Leaf Springs to suit any commercial, bus, light commercial and 4x4 vehicles on the road today, producing in excess of 200,000 traditional springs per Anum.

Since opening in 1971, GME Springs has become a global leader in design and excellence, achieving various Patents as a result of a highly skilled in-house design team.
